We are hiring an AWS Cost Optimization Expert to join our growing remote team.
This is a role for someone who lives at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and financial analysis — a rare combination, and the exact skill set our clients hire us for. You will lead engagements end to end: assessing client environments, surfacing savings opportunities, designing commitment strategies, and working alongside engineering teams to put recommendations into production.
In this job, you will acquire skills that are valued around the world. There are tens of thousands of companies in the world that use AWS; most of them are looking for ways to cut their costs. Experts in the field of “FinOps” (Financial Operations) are in high demand.
What we’re looking for
- Deep, hands-on experience with AWS services and pricing models (EC2, RDS, S3, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot)
- Fluency in reading and interpreting AWS Cost and Usage Reports
- Comfort with financial modeling — TCO analysis, ROI calculations, commitment forecasting
- Strong written and verbal communication; you will be presenting findings directly to engineering leaders and CFOs
- Self-direction and discipline; we are a remote-first team, and we trust our people to manage their work
